SALEM: The second edition of the Times Auto Expo was on Friday inaugurated on Sona educational grounds here. The three-day expo would conclude on Sunday.
C Valliappa, chairman of Sona Group of Institutions, inaugurated the expo. Chief manager of the Times of India, Coimbatore, P Balasubramanian welcomed the gathering, while managing director of AVR Swarnamahal Jewellery Pvt Ltd, ABS Sanjjay and director of Sona educational institutions V Jayaprakash delivered keynote addresses.
Several top automobile companies, including BMW, Datsun, Chevrolet, Fiat, Volvo, Tata and Maruthi Suzuki have put up stalls at the expo, displaying their latest offerings.
The brand new cars of BMW received a good response from visitors. Along with cars, two-wheelers and sports bikes are also displayed at the expo.
