Union min reviews Jharia master plan, inaugurates ICU

Dhanbad: Union minister of state for coal & mines, Satish Chandra Dubey, on Wednesday inaugurated a newly constructed 16-bedded surgical ICU ward at BCCL's Central Hospital, Jagjivan Nagar, and the Multi Skill Development Institute (MSDI–III) at Steel Gate, Dhanbad. He also distributed e-rickshaws and skill certificates under CSR initiatives aimed at strengthening livelihood opportunities for local residents.Earlier, Dubey chaired a high-level review meeting on the Revised Jharia Master Plan at Koyla Bhawan. The meeting was attended by deputy commissioner Aditya Ranjan, BCCL CMD Samiran Dutta, directors, senior officials of the Ministry of Coal, JRDA, and the district administration. Reviewing progress under the Jharia Master Plan, the minister stressed that rehabilitation can only be termed successful when resettled townships are equipped with all essential civic facilities, including roads, healthcare, schools, transport, and policing. He directed BCCL, JRDA, and allied agencies to ensure timely completion of all commitments with utmost sincerity.
