Ranchi Police Arrest 10 Gang Members Linked to Multiple Loot and Dacoity Incidents
Ranchi: Police have arrested 10 members of a gang involved in a series of loot and dacoity cases reported across Ranchi district over the past 12 days, officers said on Sunday.SP (rural) Praveen Pushkar and SP (city) Paras Rana identified the accused as Zahir Khan, Frahan Khan, Sheikh Jamil, Arslaan Khan, Md Faizaan, Soaib Ansari, Sehbaaz Salman, Kasif Yusuf, Sheikh Muzaamil and Raja Khan.During interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in multiple incidents, including loot at a petrol pump in Pundag on March 22, and at two petrol pumps in BIT Mesra and a CNG pump in Tatisilwai on March 24. On the same day, they allegedly stabbed a shopkeeper and looted valuables in the Ormanjhi area.On March 17, the group looted cash from Apna Mart under Doranda police station limits.In a separate case, Rana said that Sachin Yadav, accused of killing an employee of Titos Restaurant under Airport police station limits on March 7, has been arrested. Police said the firing was carried out on the instructions of gangster Prince Khan.
