Pratyusha's parents' fight for justice
Jamshedpur: Pratyusha Banerjee's parents, Shoma and Shankar Banerjee, will organize a signature campaign in the Steel City on June 8 to garner support for a CBI probe into their daughter's alleged suicide.
"The day-long campaign will be held at Bata Chowk in Sakchi. The sheet will be submitted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi," said Shoma Banerjee.
Shoma claimed that home minister Rajnath Singh has extended full support to ensure justice is deliver.

But, the Banerjees are insisting on a fresh CBI probe.
"If Mumbai Police had carried out a thorough investigation, we would not have pressed for a CBI enquiry," Shoma said, adding that the police adopted a lackadaisical approach to the investigation. Shankar Banerjee said despite Rohit Raj Singh being granted interim bail, the judiciary will likely overturn the judgement in the next hearing after studying the evidence.
"We accepted him (Rohit Raj Singh) despite our reservations. We did not expect this sudden turn of events," the Banerjees told reporters at their residence.
