Palamu Election Security: Surveillance Teams Deployed Ahead of Civic Body Polls
Daltonganj: Palamu administration has set up 10 static surveillance teams in the areas bordering Bihar, including Hussainabad Haidernagar Road, and seven flying squad teams with 33 sector magistrates to oversee the civic body elections scheduled on February 23.Deputy election officer (municipality) Ratan Kumar Singh said, “Static surveillance teams and flying squads have been set up and 33 sector magistrates nominated under the directions of the district election officer municipality cum deputy commissioner Palamu Sameera S.”

Deputy commissioner Sameera S said, “Harihurganj block will have nagar panchayat election for the first time. It’s close to Bihar. Instructions have been given to maintain the sanctity of the election here.”Out of the seven flying squads, three would be deployed in the Medininagar municipal corporation limits and one each in Bishrampur nagar parishad, Chhatterpur nagar panchayat, Harihurganj nagar panchayat and Hussainabad nagar panchayat, the DC said.
