LPG Tanker Accident Kills One, Injures 10 on Ranchi-Patna Road in Koderma
Koderma: An elderly man was killed and 10 others sustained injuries when an LPG tanker hit a jeep and several traders setting up shop on the pavement near Urwan on the Ranchi-Patna Road on Saturday, police said.The deceased was identified as Ruplal Singh (57).

DSP Ratibhan Singh said, “The tanker was on its way to Bihar from Hazaribag via Koderma. A passenger vehicle carrying passengers from Jhumri Tilaiya was on its way to the Tilaiya Dam. As the vehicle approached Urwan, the LPG tanker crossed into the other lane, hit the passenger vehicle, and then went on to hit traders on the pavement. A few motorcyclists were also hit.”The Chandwara police took the injured to the Sadar Hospital. Koderma civil surgeon Dr Anil Kumar said one passenger was brought dead.Hunt is under way for the driver of the tanker. The tanker has been seized, police added.
