Ranchi: Two groups of people clashed over a plot of land in Hotwasi village under Vidhan Sabha police stations outside the state capital on Saturday. The men thrashed each other and ended up torching a car.P K Mishra, Hatia deputy SP, said, “Both the groups are claiming ownership over the land. The matter is before the court. The conflict took place over taking possession over the land today,” Mishra said. The car belonged to one Satyam Srivastava, who was a member of a group. Police doused the flames after arriving at the spot. However, no formal FIRs were registered till the time of filing the report.
