Land Dealer Attempts Suicide in Ranchi: Investigation Underway

Ranchi: A land dealer identified as Kesar Ameen (30) allegedly attempted suicide by shooting himself under the Pundag outpost limits on Saturday. Police said the man sustained a bullet injury to his chest and is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city.

According to police, the incident took place around 12 pm on Saturday at the land dealer’s residence, though the exact circumstances leading to the shooting are yet to be ascertained.

“The man is under medical supervision, and his statement will be recorded once his condition stabilises. Preliminary investigations suggest it was a case of attempted suicide, but further inquiry is on to confirm the motive,” Pundag OP in-charge Deepak Narayan Singh said. Meanwhile, police have initiated an investigation to determine what prompted the land dealer to take such an extreme step.
