Jharkhand Police Shake-up: 201 SDPO, DSPs Transferred in Major Reshuffle

Ranchi: In a major reshuffle, the state administration on Wednesday transferred as many as 201 sub divisional police officers (SDPO) and deputy superintendents of police (DSP). Ranchi police also witnessed major changes with six new DSPs reshuffled.

The home, prison and disaster management department issued a notification stating that SDPO Garwah Neeraj Kumar has been tranferred as DSP Hatia, DSP Jharkhand Jaguar Deepak Kumar as DSP Bedo, DSP Jharkhand Armed Police Manish Chandra Lal as DSP Silli, newly promoted Alok Kumar Singh as Dy SP CCR, DSP trainee Ramakant Rajak as DSP Traffic 2 and DSP trainee Taras Soren as DSP trafffic 2 in Ranchi district.

At least five newly promoted DSPs have been posted in the criminal investigation department and 10 in the anti-corruption bureau.

The home department stated that the DSPs who have been replaced without getting a new post should report to the police headquarters.
