Palamu District Gears Up for House Listing and Census: May 16 - June 14

Daltonganj: A fleet of 3,816 enumerators and 722 supervisors will be conducting the house listing and house census in Palamu district between May 16 and June 14.As per a circular of directorate of census operations Jharkhand, an enumerator will conduct house-listing/house census of 800 persons or 150 to 180 houses in the stipulated time frame.Principal district census officer, Palamu Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat reiterated that no enumerator should ask for any personal data from any household and the households too should take necessary precautions in case if anyone does so.As per the 2011 Census, Palamu’s population is 19.39 lakh with rural and urban split of 88% and 12%, respectively.
