In reshuffle of IAS officers, Pooja Singhal becomes new IT secy

Ranchi: In a reshuffle of IAS officers, the personnel, administrative reform and language department of the state govt issued a notification appointing Pooja Singhal, whose suspension was revoked in December last year, as secretary of information technology and e-governance. Singhal will also be the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Jharkhand Communication Network Limited.Notably, the ED filed a petition before the special PMLA court seeking a direction to prevent any posting being given to Singhal as she is facing trial in the MGNREGA scam and money laundering case. The court is likely to announce its verdict on the petition on February 21.The notification also said the planning and development department would be taken off from principal secretary Mast Ram Meena, who has additional charge of the drinking water and sanitation department. He will look after the drinking water sanitation department only.Secretary transport department Kripanand Jha has also been made secretary ST/SC, minorities and backward class department while secretary information technology and e-governance, Vipra Bhal, has been posted as transport secretary.Moreover, secretary (building construction) Arwa Rajkamal has been given additional charge of secretary mining and geological department, industry and Jharkhand State Mineral Development Corporation.The current mining secretary, Jitendra Kumar, has been posted as secretary labour, employment and training. Labour secretary Mukesh Kumar has been transferred as secretary planning and development.Rajeshwari B, who was awaiting posting, has been made special secretary finance department, and joint secretary (finance) Saurav Kumar Bhuvania has been appointed as managing director Jharkhand Exploration and Mining Corporation Ltd.Among the new IAS officers, Kanchan Singh, has been posted as CEO of Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society, Dhananjaya Kumar Singh as joint secretary finance, Sita Pushpa as joint secretary school education and literacy department and Vijay Kumar Sinha as excise commissioner.Get the latest lifestyle updates on Times of India, along with Women's day wishes, messages and quotes !
