HAZARIBAGH: The Hazaribag sadar hospital which is being upgraded as a regional hospital is nevertheless stiil lacking in facilities.
Deputy commissioner Manish Ranjan, while addressing the district health cell meeting with doctors here on Thursday, asked civil surgeon Dr Binay Kumar to take immediate steps for installation of lift in the newly constructed hospital on the Sadar Hospital campus.

The hospital equipped with a paediatric ICU, surgery ICU, special OT, new OPD centre and a cardiac ICU besides diagnostic centre at the upgraded hospital constructed at a cost of Rs 4 crore is lying idle due to lack of lift facility in the building.
Kumar said the four-storied building has been designed in such a manner that without lift facilities no serious patient can be treated. He said that he has already written to the state government to provide funds for installation of the lift so that it can start functioning, but could not say how much time it will take.
