Four nabbed with drugs in Chatra

Chatra: A JMM member was among the four arrested by Giddhaur police from the Ramtunda football ground on Saturday. A total of 253gm of brown sugar, valued around Rs 50 lakh in the market, Rs 99,500, and two cars were seized, police said.

Chatra SP Sumit Agarwal said, “Acting on a tip-off, a team led by the officer in-charge of the Giddhaur police station Shiv Yadav cordoned off the area and arrested the smugglers.”

The arrested have been identified as Girdhaur block’s JMM member Bahadur Dangi, Premnath Dangi, Anuj Dangi, and Jitendra Sahu, all residents of Giddha, police added.
