BOKARO: Four armed men looted a jewellery shop located at the City Centre market in Sector 4 area of
Bokaro
on Sunday at around 3:20pm. Two of the robbers landed in the police net a couple of hours later in Dhanbad.
The robbers entered Ganpati Jewelers at Harshvardhan Plaza and pointed a gun at a staff, identified as
Komal Singh. They looted gold ornaments worth Rs 20 lakh besides Rs 60,000 in cash before escaping by two motorcycles.
After the shop owners raised an alarm, city police swung into action and collected photographs of the armed men from the
CCTV
footages in the store and circulated it to differnt police stations. At around 5:30pm, two of the men were arrested from a check point under Madhuban police station limits in Dhanbad district. “We have recovered pistol from their possession while the search is underway to arrest the other two and the stolen ornaments,” Madhuban police station in charge

Meanwhile, one of the staff,
Manas Raj
, said he ran out of the store and pelted stones at the fleeing robbers. “They fired shots which missed me,” he claimed.
