Ranchi: Ranchi University will forward the demands of Renu Lal, wife of Shashi Bhushan, former principal in-charge of Kartik Oraon College, Gumla, to higher and technical education department for approval. Shashi Bhushan was murdered by a student in his office in November last year.
P K Jha, public relations officer of RU said, "The wife of the deceased had written to us with three major demands including proper investigation in the case by CBI, paying the salary of two years and nine months, the term of the principal which was remaining and paying a compensation of Rs50 lakhs to the family." The decision to forward the demands to the government was taken in the syndicate meeting held on Tuesday.
Many more decisions were taken in the meeting including promotion of two teaching staff-Lal Girja Shankar Nath Shahdeo of Geography department who has been promoted from lecturer to reader and DN Ojha of history department who has been promoted from reader to professor.
