Ranchi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday interrogated Prem Prakash, a real estate businessman in connection with the illegal mining and money laundering case.
According to sources, Prakash, a native of Sasaram in Bihar, was initially appointed as an assistant in a bank. He was, however, accused of several irregularities in Patna and later fled to Jharkhand. Taking advantage of his connection with an IAS officer, he got close to senior officials and leaders in the state. One of the focus areas of ED investigation is Prakash’s connection with different officials.
Godda MP

on Friday took to Twitter to share details about the interrogation. He said that Prakash had registered a government land, which was under vigilance scanner, in the name of one Bhargava and then sold it to Agrawal in lieu of a big amount. He added that when raids were conducted by ED on May 6 he got all the mobile phones of brokers, traders, corrupt officials and leaders changed to destroy proof.
It may be mentioned here that earlier
