Dumka: A first among the state police personnel, Deoghar police launched ‘Samvaad WhatsApp Chatbot’ services to strengthen digital policing and ensuring faster public service delivery, Deoghar SP Saurabh said.
“The newly introduced chatbot aims to provide citizens with quick and easy access to various police services over mobile phones, eliminating the need to visit police stations for routine matters,” the SP said.
The chatbot is a smart digital platform that connects citizens directly with police services through the WhatsApp number, 9296913006.
The SP said, “This initiative marks a progressive move towards digital governance and citizen-friendly policing in Deoghar.
It’s significant step towards realising the vision of police at your doorstep. The platform is designed to bridge the gap between the police and the public by leveraging technology and making communication more accessible.”
The SP further informed that the chatbot will be upgraded with additional features based on public feedback to enhance its effectiveness. "I appeal to people of Deoghar district to actively use the service and contribute towards building a safer, more aware, and empowered society," the SP urged.
Citing some of the key features of the digital facility, he said one can register complaints regarding lost phones, information on traffic conditions, jams, and challans, complaints related to delays or issues in passport verification, assistance with character certificate-related problems, tracking status of police verification, filing cybercrime complaints, checking status of petitions submitted to the SP office, access to nearby police stations within a 10 km radius with map support, facility to submit public suggestions and feedback.
