Dhanbad Police Arrest Three in Motorbike Robbery, Recover Valuables

Dhanbad: Three men were arrested for allegedly robbing a man from Jamtara of his valuables under Govindpur police limits of the district on May 2, the police said on Tuesday.

Jamtara resident Irfan Ansari was returning home on his motorbike after purchasing a laptop in Dhanbad when three motorbike-borne men intercepted him on Govindpur Main Road and robbed him of his motorcycle, laptop, mobile phone, and approximately Rs 22,000 in cash.

Later on, the robbers contacted Ansari and demanded money to hand over the latter’s motorcycle. Acting on this information, the police laid a trap. On Monday, when Ansari established contact with the accused, the police swiftly moved in and arrested the accused. The arrested accused have been identified as Rajhan Ansari (22), Fardeen Ansari (26), Raju Ansari (23), and Javed Ansari (22). During the operation, police recovered one car, four motorcycles, seven mobile phones, and Rs 25,000 in cash from their possession.
