Dhanbad Organizes Human Chain for Road Safety Awareness and Voter Participation

Dhanbad: The district administration on Sunday organised a human chain to generate awareness about road safety under the ‘Road Safety Month’ campaign. Along with traffic rules, people were also encouraged to participate actively in the democratic process by exercising their right to vote.Addressing a gathering near PK Roy Memorial College on the Dhanbad–Govindpur Main Road, DC Aditya Ranjan urged people to strictly follow road safety norms, stating that discipline and awareness while using roads can save precious lives.SSP Prabhat Kumar said that most road accidents occur due to negligence. He emphasised that if traffic rules are followed sincerely, such incidents can be significantly reduced. He clarified that traffic fines are imposed not for revenue generation but for public safety, and increased awareness can greatly bring down accident rates. Rural SP Kapil Chaudhary, City SP Hritwik Srivastava, Municipal Commissioner Vikas Gangwar and several other senior officials were also present.
