Dhanbad Municipal Corporation Elections 2026: Preparations Underway for Smooth, Transparent Polls

Dhanbad: The district administration has intensified its preparatory efforts to ensure smooth, transparent and timely conduct of the 2026 municipal corporation elections. In this regard, a review meeting was held on Saturday in the office chamber of additional collector, Vinod Kumar.Addressing the meeting, Kumar said the primary objective was to assess the progress of essential administrative and technical preparations ahead of the elections and to issue time-bound directions to the concerned officials. He emphasized that early and systematic planning is crucial for conducting large-scale civic body elections efficiently.Kumar said municipal corporation elections involve a comprehensive and sensitive process, covering multiple stages ranging from preparation and revision of voter lists to polling, counting of votes and declaration of results. He stressed that transparency, fairness and technical robustness must be ensured at every stage of the electoral process.Kumar further directed that all preparations be completed within the stipulated timeline, strictly adhering to the guidelines issued by the State Election Commission.He also instructed officials to maintain proper documentation and reporting mechanisms related to election preparedness.
