Dhanbad ‘City Hawks’ to keep vigil 24x7

Dhanbad: Dhanbad police on Tuesday launched ‘City Hawks' to strengthen surveillance and ensure round-the-clock security. Equipped with modern bikes featuring GPS, blinkers, and sirens, the City Hawks will be equipped with push-to-talk devices, wireless communication systems to ensure seamless coordination with the control room.The new fleet of patrolling units was flagged off by DC Aditya Ranjan, SSP Prabhat Kumar, and Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) CMD Samiran Dutta at police line.SSP Prabhat Kumar said, "The City Hawks will remain alert 24 hours to improve law and order. Their coordination with the control room will ensure immediate assistance to citizens in distress."BCCL has donated 50 bikes to Dhanbad police under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. An additional 20 bikes will soon be handed over to further strengthen the unit.
