Couple, minor son found dead in Bokaro

Bokaro: Three members of a family, including a two-year-old boy, were found dead in an outhouse of a residential building in the city on Wednesday. Police said a prima facie investigation suggested that the couple, identified as Kundan Kumar Tiwari (35) and his wife Rekha (33), committed suicide due to debt. However, no suicide note was found at the scene of crime.

Kundan and Rekha were residents of Sector 9B under Harla police station limits. Kundan is a native of Banka district in Bihar.

Bokaro SP Harvinder Singh said, “Prima facie, it looks like suicides linked to debt. We are conducting a thorough investigation. The cause of death will be known from postmortem and other evidence.”

Kundan and Rekha were found hanging, while their son Reyansh Kumar was found dead inside the room. Neighbours found something amiss and alerted Harla police. They told the police that the police under severe financial distress as Kundan did not have a steady source of income.
