CBSE Schools Mandated to Disclose Academic, Fee, and Infrastructure Details Online
Ranchi: Schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will initiate a series of compliance measures to ensure public disclosure of academic, administrative and infrastructure-related information.After a recent directive from the board, schools are now mandated to publish academic results and detailed fee structures on their official websites, along with the academic calendar and information related to the school management committee (SMC). Mandatory particulars such as CBSE affiliation number, school code, complete address and name of the principal will continue to be displayed as required earlier.

Schools now will also upload complete and updated teacher details, including names, educational qualifications and self-certified documents, and ensure regular updates.Principal of Kairali School, Rajesh Pillai, said, “The Board has warned that non-compliance or inaccurate disclosure will be treated as a serious violation and may invite disciplinary action."Schools will also have to ensure compliance with the mandatory student–teacher ratio of 30:1, adequate staffing norms, and the requirement of at least 1.5 teachers per section, excluding the principal, physical education teacher and counsellor.
Institutions will also upload infrastructure details, internet facilities, number of toilets, and other prescribed disclosures to meet transparency standards.Moreover, schools will publish their annual reports on their websites by September 15 each year, covering teacher training, academic achievements, sports and co-curricular activities, environmental education, innovations, examination results, PTA activities and key SMC decisions.Details of teachers’ qualifications in the prescribed format will be made available by February 15.Pilali said, " Strict adherence to CBSE norms will enhance transparency and strengthen trust between schools and the community. A well-maintained website helps parents understand academic standards and teaching resources, ultimately supporting the all-round development of students. "
