Bokaro celebrates Navratri, organises Shakti March

Bokaro witnessed a vibrant Shakti March on the first day of Navratri, as over 350 women and girls paraded to honor Maa Durga. The procession, organized by Durga Vahini, commenced from Chas Jagdamba Temple and culminated at Bharat Mata Temple, covering a distance of 3 km.

Bokaro: Bokaro came alive with religious fervour on first day of Navratri on Monday with over 350 women and young girls participated in a Shakti March to honour Maa Durga. The procession began from Chas Jagdamba Temple and covered nearly 3 km, concluding at Bharat Mata Temple near Garga Bridge. Devotees chanted hymns and carried the spirit of devotion through the streets, marking the commencement of the nine-day Navratri festival.The event was held under Durga Vahini. An organiser Parinda Singh stated, “This march is not just a procession, it is a message of women empowerment, devotion, and the preservation of Sanatan Dharma.”Local women praised the participants, saying, “Women embody the strength of Maa Durga. They can challenge societal evils and stand for justice while upholding culture and tradition.”A participant added, “Our aim is to spread awareness, and protect our Sanatan faith. This march showcases the true power of women as bearers of Shakti.”
