Beware of extortion calls in the name of DC: Hazaribag admin

Hazaribag: The district administration on Saturday asked the public to be aware of fake calls and messages coming in the name of deputy commissioner Shashi Prakash Singh and demanding money from govt officials and the public. A statement issued by the Hazaribag administration said fake WhatsApp profiles of Singh have been created, and fraudsters are using mobile numbers +84564952162 and +84823486196, which have no connection with the district administration.“Any messages, calls or payment requests received from these numbers should not be trusted under any circumstances. Citizens must not respond to such calls, avoid paying money and immediately inform the cyber police station,” the statement added.
