2 workers die in Jamtara well collapse

Dumka: Two MGNREGA workers died and their bodies were later retrieved when an under-construction well collapsed at Momin Pada village under the Mihijam police station limits in Jamtara district on Tuesday morning, district officials said.The deceased persons were identified as Abul Hasan (35) of Momin Pada and Dinesh Hembrom (25) of neighbouring Ladna village, they added.An administrative team led by Jamtara sub-divisional officer (SDO) (civil) Sanjay Kumar Pandey reached the spot around 9 am for rescue operations.
