Elderly woman dies after casting vote in Patan A 68-year-old woman died of cardiac arrest shortly after casting her vote in the ongoing local body elections in Patan town of north Gujarat on Sunday. Kamla Solanki, a resident of Mayanagar Society, collapsed inside the polling station at BM High School after exercising her franchise. She was rushed to a nearby trust-run hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. Additional collector Hiren Chauhan confirmed the cause as cardiac arrest. Though his condition had stabilised, he reportedly suffered chest pain again on Sunday, which proved fatal.
