Nephew shoots 75-year-old dead in Bhachau

Rajkot: A killing linked to a family feud rocked Vondh village in Bhachau taluka of Kutch district on Tuesday as Haridas Sadhu, 75, was shot dead near the village rickshaw stand, allegedly by his nephew, Mukesh Sadhu.The killing occurred around 10am. Bhachau police, on being alerted, rushed to the scene.According to inspector D D Zala of Bhachau police station, Haridas and his son were approaching the rickshaw stand when the confrontation occurred. Haridas was first attacked with a sword by Mukesh Sadhu, who was waiting at the stand. Haridas tried to defend himself with a stick, but Mukesh then shot his uncle. Haridas died on the spot. Mukesh was apprehended and the investigation is underway.
