Bishnoi’s brother says he has evidence against CBI

Rajkot: A week after DGFT officer J M Bishnoi committed suicide in CBI custody, Sanjay Bishnoi, his younger brother came before the media and alleged the CBI of planting evidence against his brother. Bishnoi claimed that he has evidence of accusation and would handover these to the Rajkot deputy commissioner of police. J M Bishnoi had jumped to his death from his office during CBI search operation last Saturday after he was allegedly trapped accepting a bribe of Rs 5 lakh. The younger brother of the deceased has demanded inquiry into the complainants, as generally the CHAs (custom house agents) deal with the DGFT officials and no importer-exporter directly deals with the officials, he claimed. Regarding the news published about the progress of CBI's investigation in the bribery case, Bishnoi alleged, “The CBI is leaking this information in order to save themselves.” Further claiming that no CBI or DGFT officials approached them (family) regarding the inquiry, Bishnoi asked the CBI to give information officially with authenticity to the media. He also demanded for free and fair investigation in the death of his brother in CBI custody and urged the government to rope in an honest officer who collects all the CCTV and evidence and investigate this case in detail. Bishnoi also alleged that the CBI officials tried to plant cash and marijuana at his residence and claimed he has evidence of it.
