RAJKOT: A 26-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death after a quarrel over money in Rohidaspara area on Morbi Road late on Sunday night. Umesh Sagathiya succumbed to injuries at the civil hospital.
Police have arrested
Kamlesh Parmar, who lives in the same locality, for the murder. Parmar told police that Sagathiya had come to his house demanding Rs 100 for liquor.
Parmar did not have cash and borrowed the money for Sagathiya from some guests who had come to his house. However, Sagathiya kept quarrelling with him. Parmar then allegedly stabbed him in a fit of rage.
Kamlesh, however, scripted a story that Umesh was murdered by members of a minority group. However, police verified and found his claims to be untrue. Kamlesh later confessed to killing him.
