1 held in Gandhidham angadia firm loot case
Rajkot: One of the four accused allegedly involved in robbing an angadia firm owner of Rs 11 lakh in Gandhidham town of Kutch district was arrested on Tuesday.
Police arrested Mukesh Desai (21) who, during interrogation, revealed names of three others — Pankaj Dongre, Kaushik Patel and Mahesh Rabari — involved in the robbery.
According to police, Desai who is in transport business and lives in Gandhidham had tiped off the three accused about Babulal Prajapati’s angadia firm located in Gandhi Market area.
Dongre is a notorious history-sheeter of Radhanpur who has number of cases pending against him, said police.
On Monday, when Prajapati was at his office, Dongre and Rabari barged in. While one of them said he wanted to send a courier to Radhanpur in Patan, the other flashed a knife and hit Prajapati on the head with its handle. The duo, then, took out the cash from the drawer and fled.
