Father checks prospective son-in-law's traffic challans before finalising daughter's marriage in Andhra Pradesh
KAKINADA: In a strange and innovative move, a thoughtful 55 year-old man who is looking to perform marriage to his daughter approached a Traffic Inspector to assess his probably son-in-law. How can a traffic official assess a person whom he did not know at all? The sensible person just asked the traffic official to give him the details about his probable son-in-law.
He approached the traffic police to verify whether any traffic challans were pending against the vehicles of his prospective son-in-law. He asked the traffic official on whether he was involved in any traffic violation, drunken driving, driving without seat belt or helmet. He have the slip to the officials in which his prospective son-in-law’s car and bike’s numbers.
Amused by the caring nature of a father towards his daughter, Traffic Inspector who is on duty at Bhanugudi junction in Kakinada, Daneti Rama Rao immediately checked the app in his mobile phone and also inquired the traffic control room. After inspection all records, the traffic police gave clean chit to the possible son-in-law. The traffic police have made it clear that there is no single challan was registered against the person’s car or bike. He did not violate any traffic rule as per the records.
Talking to the TOI, Traffic Inspector Daneti Rama Rao said that the old man who approached him has made up in his mind that the person who would marry his daughter should be disciplined and law abide person and his character as well his behaviour could be assessed by his traffic record.
He explained that the old man has lost his wife and raised his daughter with love and care. He educated his daughter up tom engineering after facing many hardships. He mentioned that that man made his mind that the prospective son-in-law should take care of his daughter with love and care.
When the traffic inspector gave clean chit to his prospective son-in-law, the old man returned with great relief. The traffic official could not praise a responsible father for his careful and practical approach to pick up groom for his beloved daughter.
