Zosangzuali, Sakshi dominate weightlifting

Raipur: Zosangzuali of Mizoram clinched the gold medal in the women's 86+ kg weightlifting category, while Maharashtra's Sakshi Bandu Burkule secured gold in the women's 86 kg category at the Khelo India Tribal Games 2026.In the 86+ kg category, Zosangzuali lifted a total of 153 kg, including 70 kg in snatch and 83 kg in clean and jerk. Assam's Pinky Boro took silver with a total of 125 kg, while Madhya Pradesh's Gunjan Uikey claimed bronze with 86 kg. In the women's 86 kg category, Sakshi lifted 68 kg in snatch and 82 kg in clean and jerk for a total of 150 kg to win gold. Chhattisgarh's Rishika Kashyap secured silver with 121 kg, while Assam's Bitupuna Deori took bronze with a total of 118 kg.
