RAIPUR: “Pearled Raindrops”, a book written by young writer Marisha Sama Pingua, was released in a function held in Raipur on Sunday.
Eminent writer and retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer B K S Ray was the chief guest at the programme. Retired Director General of Police (DGP) A N Upadhyay, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF)
Rakesh Chaturvedi, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Subrat Sahoo and Additional Director General of Police Pradeep Gupta were present as special invitees.
The guests released the book “Pearled Raindrops” in the function.
Sharing about her first book, 23-year-old Marisha Sama Pingua, who is the daughter of Principal Secretary of Forest Department, Government of Chhattisgarh Manoj Pingua, said that she started writing down the thoughts that came to her mind while studying in class VI for the first time on a notepad.
Young writer Marisha said that she was influenced by some characters of course books and TV serials and wrote some poems on those characters. Marisha further said that she also started writing on subjects related to nature, humanity, spiritualism, mood, political, love and others.
Speaking on the occasion, writer Marisha’s father Manoj Kumar Pingua said that writing has also been his hobby but due to busy schedules, he could not move forward in the field of writing. IAS officer Pingua said that he was aware about his daughter Marisha’s interest in poems but he was surprised to know that his daughter would also be in a position to write a book. Pingua shared his experiences on the literary features in the programme. IAS officer Pingua gave credit to Professor Anandmurthy Mishra, writer Amulya Priyadarshi, Gyanendra Singh and Arun Pandey for publishing his daughter’s this book. Manoj Kumar Pingua also said that he was feeling proud of his daughter's this achievement.
Addressing the programme, retired IAS officer BKS Ray said that he has written over 44 books, several short stories and novels so far. Sharing his views on Marisha's poem book, retired IAS officer Ray said, "Poems have supported me in the ups and downs of life." “Writing poetry is the writing of inner thoughts, which have many colours. Every poet has his own style but writing poetry is not an easy task. Everyone cannot compose poems,” he added.
BKR Ray congratulated young writer Marisha for her first book and said that every poem in the book “Pearled Raindrops” is giving a message and her poems left a deep impact on readers. Ray inspired Marisha to continue writing in the same manner. Many writers get tired of writing one or two books but one should continue writing because writing gives energy, he added.
Former DGP A N Upadhyay, PCCF Rakesh Chaturvedi and Additional Chief Secretary Subrat Sahoo congratulated Marisha for this achievement.
Marisha Sama Pingua started writing poems full of heart at the age when many young people are engaged in understanding the meaning of words. Whose deep feelings are hidden behind every poem, but the specialty of putting them in words is such that the reader can deduce the meaning of those poems on the basis of his or her own understanding.
