Raipur: Chhattisgarh is set to introduce Artificial Intelligence in school education through a pilot programme in Raipur, with support from Google, aiming to train teachers and enhance digital learning across the state.

Google for Education India has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the Raipur district administration to launch the ‘AI Saksham Shiksha Abhiyan' as a pilot project. Theprogrammefocuses on promoting AI-based interventions in school education.
Under the ‘SakshamShikshakAbhiyan'component, teachers across the state will receive training in modern digital tools and AI-driven teaching methodologies. While the first phase begins in Raipur, the government plans to expand the initiative to all districts in the state.
Theprogrammeaims to provide AI certification to over 2 lakh teachers. Google for Education will provide its digital platform free of charge tofacilitatethis large-scale technical empowerment.
Theinitialphase includes specialized workshops for 200 teachers, offering practical training on Google for Education tools. These sessions will focus on the effective use of AI in classrooms to improve student learning outcomes.
The CMstatedthat the state government is working to make Chhattisgarh's education systemtechnology-ready. He noted that linking AI with education is a step towards making students globally competitive.
