NEW DELHI: Flight operations at Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur were disrupted on Thursday morning due to a malfunction in the airport’s navigation system, officials said.
As a result, several flights have been cancelled since morning, causing inconvenience to passengers.
Operational work to fix the issue is currently under way.
“Due to a technical glitch in the navigation system, flight operations have been affected,” airport director KK Lahre said.
A passenger, Shantanu Chakraborthy, says, "My flight was scheduled to take off at 7:55am. I was informed around 12 midnight that the flight had been cancelled. When we came to the airport, there was a huge rush. I was supposed to reach Kolkata at 9:25am, but now, I will reach by 1am."
Passengers are advised to check with their respective airlines for updates regarding departures and arrivals.
