Indian Institute of Management, Raipur, is organizing a four-day orientation programme for its second batch of Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) and fourth batch of Programme in Management from Thursday at its premises.

RAIPUR: Indian Institute of Management, Raipur, is organizing a four-day orientation programme for its second batch of Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) and fourth batch of Programme in Management (PGM) from Thursday at its premises.
The programme includes lectures by prominent personalities like S Chandrashekhar, vice president India & SA, IBM, Pradeep Tandon executive vice president, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd, Ram Kumar, executive director and board member, ICICI Bank, among others.

The guest lectures are aimed at instilling critical thinking in students.
Prof Laxman Chaturvedi, vice chancellor, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Central University, Bilaspur would be the chief guest for the occasion. Prof Nitin Madhusudan Nagarkar, director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur, will be the keynote speaker.
Aimed at acquainting the students with modern management education, the meticulously structured programme covers the teaching and learning methods used in the institute with special emphasis on the case method.
It will also focus on making the students aware of the various learning styles that help them estabilish linkages between their life’s goal and management education.
Students will start with a yoga session everyday which will help them maintain their energies and develop their thought process throughout the day. Management simulation games are also being organised on first and second day of the program. The simulation exercise will help students adopt an alternate thinking.
