Raipur: Security forces recovered four IEDs and demolished four Maoist memorials during a joint anti-Naxal operation in Chhattisgarh's north Bastar Kanker district. The seized explosives included three pressure-cooker IEDs, one weighing around 10 kg and two weighing about 5 kg each, besides one pipe IED.
The team also recovered a bundle of electric wire, three Maoist uniforms, firecrackers and Maoist literature from the spot. Police said the Maoist memorial structures in Kalpar and Amatola villages were demolished during the operation. A joint team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the Border Security Force (BSF) was deployed for patrol and search operations along the Kanker-Narayanpur border.
