RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh has published its final electoral roll after completing a four-month Special Intensive Revision (SIR) taking the state’s electorate to 1,87,30,914 and marking a net addition of 2,34,994 voters over the draft roll, with Durg district topping highest additionas, according to the Chief Electoral Officer’s (CEO) office.
The CEO’s office said that at the start of the exercise the database carried 2,12,30,737 electors.
District-wise data released by CEO Yashwant Kumar shows the biggest net additions in Durg district recording the highest gain at 30,913 (final roll 11,35,061), followed by Bilaspur that added 29,031 (final 13,41,254), Balodabazar-Bhatapara added 16,876 (final 8,40,661) and Balod added 13,565 (final 6,56,301).
At the other end, Raipur, the state’s largest electorate, saw a marginal net addition of 521 (final 13,93,967), while Korba added 600.
The final roll has been published at polling stations and designated locations, and is also available online through the CEO Chhattisgarh website and the Election Commission’s voter portal. Citizens whose names are missing can apply for inclusion using Form 6 (with declaration and documents), while corrections can be sought through Form 8, the CEO said.
Claims and objections relating to inclusion, deletion and corrections were received between December 23, 2025 and January 22, 2026, and were disposed of by February 14, a statement from CEO's office said.
The revision exercise began on October 27, 2025 and culminated in the final publication on February 21, 2026, with officials describing it as a “mission-mode” drive combining door-to-door verification, digitisation and time-bound disposal of claims and objections.
A key plank of the SIR was household verification by 27,196 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) who distributed enumeration forms and carried out voter “matching and mapping,” officials said. The drive also updated voter photographs using the latest images collected during the campaign.
The election machinery digitised enumeration forms received from 1,84,95,920 electors, and said field checks focused on identifying electors who were dead, permanently shifted, or registered at multiple places.
Officials said the exercise involved the full district election structure 33 district election officers, 90 EROs, 1,990 AEROs, 27,196 BLOs and 38,846 booth level agents (BLAs) with participation from political parties, media and volunteers.
