Raipur: Anshul Kabthiyal and Honey Baisoya emerged as joint leaders after the third round of the Rs 1.5 crore SECL Chhattisgarh Open 2026 on Thursday. Both golfers carded scores of six-under 63 to move up the leaderboard, reaching a total of 21-under 186 in Nava Raipur golf course.
American Jhared Hack also produced a 63 to end the day in third position at 20-under 187 during the season-opening event of the DP World PGTI. Veer Ahlawat (62) and Akshay Sharma (69) occupied tied fourth place at 18-under 189.
Twenty-one-year-old Kabthiyal (62-61-63), who started the day in tied second place, gained an early advantage with a 45-foot birdie on the second hole. After a quiet spell until the 10th, Kabthiyal picked up birdies from the 11th hole onwards. He finished strong with a flurry of birdies on the 14th, 15th, 17th, and 18th holes. "I have kept the errors out this week, having dropped just one bogey in the tournament so far," said Kabthiyal, who is chasing his maiden title. Seven-time winner Baisoya made five birdies over his first 11 holes. Despite a bogey on the 12th, he recovered with a 15-foot eagle on the 13th and another birdie on the 15th. Baisoya, who recorded eight top-10 finishes on the tour last year, dropped a shot on the 16th but remained at the top.
