A two-year-old boy died after a speeding tempo hit him in Bhosari MIDC around noon on Sunday, when the boy was crossing the road.

PUNE: A two-year-old boy died after a speeding tempo hit him in Bhosari MIDC around noon on Sunday, when the boy was crossing the road.
The Bhosari MIDC police said the deceased, Roshan Tamata, was a resident of Bhosari MIDC. Police have arrested tempo driver Devidas Kisan Burate (38) of Pimpri for negligent driving.
Police said that Roshan's father, Krishna Tamata, works as a security guard for a private company.

On Sunday, Krishna was playing with his two-month-old daughter at the entrance of the company. Roshan had gone to a stall across the road to buy a chocolate. The tempo hit him when he was walking back. Roshan was crushed under the wheels of the vehicle, police said.
Woman knocked down by speeding car: A 45-year-old woman was killed on the spot after a speeding car knocked her down at Vallabhnagar in Pimpri on Sunday afternoon. The Pimpri police said the deceased, Sitabai Mohan Gaikwad (47), was from Gandhinagar in Pimpri. Police have arrested car driver Sunil Gaikwad (34) of Bopodi for rash driving.
