Two killed in separate motorcycle accidents

Pune: A 33-year-old official working with a private finance company died after his motorcycle hit a BRTS bus stop at Pimple Saudagar in the early hours of Tuesday. The Sangvi police have identified the deceased as Sanket Gunjkar of Paud Road, Kothrud.

An officer from the Sangvi police said the accident happened around 12.45am on Tuesday, when Gunjkar was travelling towards Kokane Chowk from Nashik Phata. “While driving through the BRTS route, he lost control and hit the wall of the bus stop. He was taken to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead,” the officer said.

Pillion rider dies New Sangvi

A 22-year-old man died after the motorcycle on which he was riding pillion with his friend crashed into a road divider at Sudarshan Chowk in New Sangvi.

The accident happened in the early hours of Monday when the friends were travelling towards Pimpri. The police have identified the deceased as Aman Shaikh of Vallabhnagar in Pimpri. The rider (22) sustained severe injuries in the accident, police said.
