Truck carrying meat to Mumbai robbed

PUNE: Four unidentified men travelling in a car robbed a truck carrying meat on the Katraj-Dehu Road bypass in the wee hours of Tuesday.
In the incident which took place between Punawale bridge and Gahunje stadium, the suspects, sped away with the truck after threatening its driver and snatching his cellphone and cash.
The truck driver Imran Ahmed Khan (23) of Wadala in Mumbai has lodged a complaint with the Hinjewadi police saying that he and his colleague Gufran Ahmed were heading towards Mumbai from Hyderabad when the incident took place.
All the stolen goods, including the meat, truck and the cellphone, were worth Rs 40.35 lakh.
