Swarathma enthralls Pune audience

Bangalore based folk rockers

Swarathma

were in town for their

Agla Savera India Tour

recently. They collaborated with

Coke Studio's

superstar composer Clinton Cerejo who brought in Mumbai-based vocalist Bianca Gomes.

Swarathma are known for their rustic visual representation, folksy fusion melodies and hard-hitting lyrics that take on a relevant issues of our times, everything from the constant sensationalist media hype to the consumerist establishment. The heaviness of their words are balanced out by the light-heartedness of their upbeat music that is filled with permeating positive energy.

, Swarathma’s guitarist said, “Working with Clinton Cerejo was a huge learning experience than just being a creative one. It pushed me immensely on so many levels that now I will say, if there is an opportunity again, I will never say no!”

They played their new single ‘Agla Savera’ that featured soundscapes from their folksy roots layered with pop vibes by Clinton Cerejo. “Bianca (Gomes) and I have collaborated on a lot of songs and it made sense to create a pop track that would be a slight departure from what Swarathma and I are used to doing”, says Clinton. “We really enjoyed working with Swarathma, who are mad bunch of guys to hang out and make music with.”
