PUNE: Increased interactions with teachers, more time for revision and constant monitoring of performances were some of the reasons cited by Times NIE member schools that recorded 100% pass percentage in the ICSE and CBSE results.
Shivani Movaliya (91.2%) and Rishabh Moorjani (89.6%) secured the top two positions in the RiverDale International Residential School (ICSE).
Payam Shoghi, principal of the school, said, "After finishing our portion by November, we gave the students ample time for revision. Apart from preparing the students academically, teachers played an important role of regularly counseling students, orienting them on how to write their papers, and helping them deal with exam related stress."
Student Rishabh Moorjani said in order to study for board examination, he prepared a revision schedule as early as November last year.ss
At the City International School, Wanowrie (CBSE), A P Akshya (98%) and Shreya Guddin (97%) secured the top two slots. Moushumi Chowdhury, principal of the school, said, "The board has implemented a well-researched system which has not only helped ease out the pressure amongst the students, but also made the learning process beneficial. We encouraged interactions between teachers, students and the parents on a regular basis. Our constant monitoring of the performance of the students helped us find out those who require some additional classes."
Inchara Karekara (95.8%) and Tanmay Raut (95%) secured the top two positions in the City International school, Pimpri (CBSE). Jyotsna Mishra, principal of the school, said, "The focus was on clarity of concepts of each subject from grassroots level."
Nandini Charles, principal, the Vikhe Patil Memorial School (CBSE), said, “Most of our children have secured above 90% marks. Two of our students, Sarthak Chandra and Aniket Joshi, have cleared IIT-JEE entrance test. Extra help to the weak students, regular tests, solving old question papers, lectures by the experts have helped the students.”
