NCC Maha launches employability drive
Pune: The NCC Maharashtra has launched an integrated employability initiative under the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS), aimed at connecting NCC cadets and ex-cadets with industry opportunities, professional training and future-ready skills.
As part of the first phase of the programme, special placement camps will be organised in Pune and Mumbai, offering a total of 150 internship opportunities to eligible graduates from across Maharashtra.
The Pune camp, scheduled on June 15, will provide 50 internship positions, while the Mumbai camp on June 16 will offer 100 opportunities. The initiative — which is open to NCC Senior Division and Senior Wing cadets as well as ex-cadets — seeks to bridge the gap between education and employment through structured workplace exposure and industry engagement.
According to NCC Maharashtra directorate officials, selected candidates will gain practical experience in areas such as human resources, sales, front office operations, finance, food and beverage services, and purchase and stores management.
Participants will also receive monthly stipends under the scheme, along with mentoring and career development support during the internship period.
Additional Director General (NCC Maharashtra) said the organisation was expanding its traditional role of leadership development by integrating employability and entrepreneurship initiatives.
“Through internships, skill development programmes and industry partnerships, we aim to ensure that every NCC cadet is equipped to succeed in a rapidly evolving professional environment,” he said.
