Indefinite strike called for autos, cabs in Pune, Mumbai and Nagpur over meter-based fare system
Pune: The Indian Gig Workers Front has called for an indefinite strike for cabs and autorickshaws run by aggregators in three cities: Pune, Mumbai, and Nagpur.Front president Keshav Kshirsagar told TOI, "The cabs' strike started on Thursday, and autorickshaws will join them from the evening. Our demands are that state govt make the meter-based fare system approved by the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) visible in cabs and cancel the order to allow e-bike taxis to operate in the state. This is an indefinite strike."
