Pune: The contract white goods manufacturer PG Technoplast (PGT) says that it is planning to backward integrate its supply chain to the extent of manufacturing printed circuit boards (PCBs), with the firm also expecting to invest more than Rs 300 crore at its facilities in Supa, near Ahmednagar, as well as in Noida, in the Delhi NCR.
The Supa facility will employ a total of around 2500 people after its expansion, PGT said. The investment was also announced at Maharashtra’s pavilion in Davos. Switzerland, during the recent World Economic Forum.
The company has also been approved for the white goods PLI scheme for the union government, with around Rs 200 crore of its planned Rs 321 crore investment expected to come from the PLI over the next few financial years. — Shiladitya Pandit
