PUNE: An autorickshaw driver (49) stabbed an unemployed youth (21) to death, following a petty quarrel in Kondhwa around 11.30am on April 25. Police identified the deceased as Kondhwa resident Ahmed Raza Khan.
Senior inspector Santosh Sonawane of the Kondhwa police said, "Ahmed was passing by an eatery when auto driver Salim Khan reportedly stared at him.
A verbal exchange broke out and Ahmed pulled out a small knife to attack Salim, badly injuring his left hand. In the scuffle, Salim snatched the knife and stabbed Ahmed in the stomach."
He added, "Ahmed died due to excessive bleeding at Sassoon. We have booked Salim on the charge of murder and will arrest him once discharged. We also registered a case for voluntarily causing grievous hurt against Ahmed."
