3 on bike rob & thrash duo in Pune

PUNE: Three men on a motorcycle assaulted two pedestrians and robbed a cellphone worth Rs5,000 from one of them near Somatane phata late on Monday night. The Talegaon Dabhade police have collected CCTV footage from the spot and launched a search for the trio.Assistant inspector Narayan Patil of the Talegaon Dabhade police told TOI that the 23-year-old victim and his friend are residents of Urse. "At around 10.30pm, the duo alighted from a PMPML bus at Somatane Phata and were walking home, when three men on a bike stopped them," Patil said.He added, "The trio beat them and snatched the complainant's cellphone before driving away from the spot."
